I'm sure that water still has spores dispersed in it. You could probably just suck some out with a sterile syringe and inoculate a new culture jar with it. That's what you're concerned about right? Saving the strain and not the jar?

yes you will get growth ,,, In my experience keep it moving like i said ,,,,it will work lol when i was new i had jar's colonize and have little pools of water at the bottom no contams ,,,, side to side upside down right side up you should be fine and i AM speaking from experience

For all of u interested in updates, checked them today and found the flour absorbed the excess water. All of it. I got good feelings, I'll update at the first sign of growth. Thanks for your help skuzzy.
