brf mod question lc compatibility
    #15896893 - 03/03/12 11:05 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

so i have some 1/4 pint jars gonna do brf but i want them a little dry so i can inoculate with lc. any ideas on how much lc per jar would be most efficient. also would it be safe to assume however much lc i use per jar i take that amount minus half a cc of water out of the original brf recipe? dont worry i can do the math unless someone on here is feeling frisky

thanks in advance

If they're prepared dry, 2cc's will have them colonized between eight to ten days (Given the right conditions)

Ive never used 120ml jars for cakes before so im just guesstimating, but when inoculating 250ml jars with 2cc's of LC they were done in ten days and then given two days to consolidate.

THANKS HYBRID not exactly what im lookin for but at least you replied

im wondering if i inoculate each jar with 2 cc's like you suggest if i should take out 1.5 cc's of water from the original recipe for each jar or more or less i know it seems stupid but im not all that experienced with using cakes or lc
