Aunt Jemima, more than just a pancake woman!

Hey everybody, I wanted to do the honey tek a few days ago but I didnt have any honey. I imporovised and decided, just for the hell of it, to try Aunt Jemima pancake syrup. Mixed some of it in water, about a 4:1 water to syrup ratio and they're doing just great. I didnt even steralize. I know, I should've, but I just wanted to see if this could even remotely work. Plus, security's a big issue seeing as I live at home with my parents, making sterlization a circumstantial issue. I've got mycelium forming at the bottom at only two days. I just started the real honey tek and I'll let ya know which one does better!

I'm just saying:
If he let's his mouth slip and something messes up, his parents are totally liable. That's why it would be a douchey thing to do. I don't mean it in an offensive way.
I just think if your going to do something illegal, don't have your parents get thrown in jail and lose their house over your stupid mistake. Shrooms aren't worth that much.

I know, I dont intend to. They're just incubating inside right now. After a week or so, I'm moving them outside. Nothing like a nice hole 8" deep by a a few feet wide and long filled with horsedung and straw mix to get some nice shrooms going! The strain right now is B+. But I have 7 other strans, haha. Me and my friend went spore happy when we first started. I'm gonna be starting some puerto ricans and golden teachers in a couple days. I'm hoping to have about 5 patches going at a time. Gotta keep my friends hooked up, ya know?

This isn't cool at all You had me all excited by the name of the thread that someone had come up with a way to use Pancake mix as a substrate... But hey, atleast I have a substitue for Honey Water now, but what about trying Chicken Broth. That's what Agar practically is. And Chicken Broth is thin .... just a suggestion, correct me if I'm wrong....

I was thinking of testing that and a few other things. Mashed potatoe mix looks really promising. I had some mashed potatoes a week ago and I forgot about the leftovers and theres fungus growing on it now I figure, if they're growing this well now, imagine what pc's will do when you mix it with some vermiculite. I'm gonna give it a shot soon.

hmmm.. chicken broth? can you enlighten me more? I know a kid who just uses shitty half crystalized honey, his Lipa Yai's grew in about 2 or 3 days and expended all the honey in a 1 pint jar in about 4 days. Thats non incubated!
