Yeah im calln shenanigans on this whole thing. I took a look at that island Mr. scientist and theres not a fucking tree on it. Thats not a fucking tree lobster its a fucing Lord Howe Island stick insect. If it was called that we prob woudnt even be talkin bout it would we. They're clearly trying imitate the rock lobster's very succsesfull PR campain of the late 70's.

Anyway - this news is literally 10 years old, they found the 24 insects in 2001 and since they've raised the population above 1,000 again.

yes, it's actually pretty well known the the prisoners of Maine sued the state for Cruel and Unusual punishment a few hundred years ago if they were served lobster more than once a week.
