Jetpack!
    #15880522 - 02/29/12 09:55 AM (12 years, 1 month ago)

But more baddass.

Has anyone else seen this? Fucking amazing, and only a few grand for each engine.

YUP. This dude is the shit. He's also made it across the English Channel I believe and holds/sets the record for jetpack flight on the regular. Good to see sponsorship from Brietling(spelling). If people invest costs will go down w production. Id rather finance one of these to go to work than a car any day.

Would rather have the hot air balloon.

I'm not into crazy thrills. I would rather take it slow and steady when I'm doing dangerous things.

Plus, when the world is being ravaged by earthquakes, tsunamis, floods or zombi's, I'm going to be chilling in the sky watching it all.

Very true, not to mention packing a parachute at all times would suck.
But it would still be something to brag about.

If I had a hot air balloon I sure as hell would have a parachute on anyways lol.

I don't like to leave anything to chance.

Sucks when you run out of fuel huh?
That's where the backup jetpack comes in handy.

If he had some bigger engines he might might be able to flare a landing and land on his feet.. Would be epic.

Spelunking maybe?
I guess a hard trip wouldn't be too fun hurtling through the air either.

That reminds me of a Steve Martin movie where he had a weather balloon attached to a harness. The balloon wasn't quite big enough to lift him off the ground but it let him jump pretty far and high as if gravity was reduced.
