looks good... Sectioning was a needed improvement.have you had a chance to test out BoomerZ's addition of sweet'n'low to your substrate formula?

Alien, First time I visit your page and liked it a lot; very informative thanks for the effort. Just one suggestion and this applies to a lot of sites nowadays: If youre using blocks of text i suggest you keep the background light and the text dark. This makes reading easier, is less strainful on the eyes, and most important it makes printing the document possible since some browsers are unable to print light text over dark backgrounds. Id say the same to Erowid's vault, DMT World, Terence Mckenna Land etc, who all use the fancy black background but compromise on legibility and printability. Best wishes, Plankton88

well Alien this may not be an appropiate place, but let me link to the stuff on the sweet'n'low experiments. The last is the most recent.. http://www.shroomery.org/ubbnoncgi/Forum2/HTML/009292.html http://www.shroomery.org/ubbnoncgi/Forum2/HTML/009872.html http://www.shroomery.org/ubbnoncgi/Forum2/HTML/010176.html I think if a combination of brf+verm+sweet'n'low at all competed in quality with whole grain substrates, it'd be a good switch, as it seems brf+verm to be more resistant to contams when crumbling. My friend has had problems with rice/quinoa getting a fruity smell and not growing into the casing layer when casing, even though initial colonization was strong.

nahh my friend is not above taking any advice, heh. I've heard of mixing substrate into the casing but didn't know people were doing it successfully.well I think the sweet'n'low contam reports may have been growers error, that is one reason why I asked you since well, you don't get contams otherwise. my friend recently innoculated some sweet'n'low jars with a poor-man's tissue cloing technique. The catch is, if he sees contams later, theres no way to know if it was the cloning technique or the sweet'n'low. oh well

I am EXTREMELY regretful to say that it wasnt sweet and low that i used, it was actually safeway brand artificial sweetner. I thought they were the exact same thing, but after reading the ingrediants about an hour ago, i found them to be differnet. The safeway stuff has ONLY dextrose, maltodextrin and aspartime, while sweetn'low has a buncha other stuff in it. I am INCREDIBLY sorry and regretful for posting misinformation. I did NOT mean to do so and i hope that everyone understands, especially shroomism, that it was a huge error on my part. Hopefully its not too late to BEG for everyones forgiveness. I feel REALLY bad

well I'm glad I brought it up. Sweet'n'low isn't necessarily bad though, I hope.Well if the safeway sweetener works out I'll forgive you boomerZ.
