first grow - is it time to birth?

Hi to all. I read through so many threads my head will explode. And since i should read before posting I have read even more. But I still cant tell if my cakes are ready to go to fc.
I use incubator with water heater. Temperature in it is around 27°C. At first, mycelium was quite aggressive- after a week it looked like
When glasses were around 80% it began to stall/grow very slow.I think that i stuffed glasses a bit to much. But now little over month has passed colonized and there are still no pins visible and i dont know if i should put them in fc or wait.( there is also a big possibility that i am pin blind)

Well from the picture it looks to be fully colonized, recommend waiting a full week after full colonization before using the dunk and roll technique(if your using that is) if not they are ready for the FC, never seen that much myc. After a week, good growing

Mycelium looks very healthy. Keep then dunked for 24 hours, put a plate or something on top of the cakes as they have a tendency to float to the top and expose themselves out of the water. Could lead to uneven pinning. What FC are you planning on using? Looking A-okay

I always use this tek when I'm working with cakes. Make sure to drill many holes (6mm is the best size).

cakes are in fc now, I mist two times a day, fan 6-8 times, rh is great-97% but temp is a little low- it deviates from 19 to 21°C. Oh and strain is Ecuador. I guess this should do the trick but i was thinking if i should put two desk lamps with those little capsule halogen bulbs next to my 5000K CFL since they produce fair amount of heat. Will this do anything or its just waste of time and electricity? And does this light from desk lamps help with growth?

To keep you updated: Here is my SG FC with CFL light. I also made a water heater because temperature at night drops bellow 18°C. Is this ok? If it is, any ideas how often should I change water in it to avoid risking contamination? Oh and one more thing- Is there enough room for normal air circulation or should I change the location?
And here is a pic of my first bad boy...although this is the only activity on cakes - No signs of pinning. They are in FC for five days now. This is normal, isn't it?

make sure your fc has air low underneath (elevated)...hard to tell from pic...it would be better if you put it on a table also...the floor is such a dirty place
also, I have never seen any perlite like that before...looks really dry to me
also 5 days is nothing

=) yeah perlite really looks strange but it works. It's quite moist - If you run your fingers through it, you can feel the moisture. RH is around 100%. I did the towel test and the reading was 94%. And in my FC it is 93% so i guess it's ok.
About bottom side elevation - FC is on glasses around 10 cm above the ground. Isn't that ok?
I'm concerned about the heater I made...and the water in it for being perfect bacteria breeding ground?

I would put the fc up on milk crates or a table...the first foot off the ground is the dirtiest place in your house...next to the bathroom
you would be better off putting a bubble stone hooked to an air pump in the heater setup....moving water vs. standing water...sounds like less likely to contam if your worried about it...also will keep up your RH...still looks dry to me...should be water droplet on the sides of the FC if the RH is right
dont trust that digital hygrometer...they are rarely right, and after about 2 weeks in that fruiting chamber, wont work at all

yeah i read about digital hygrometers...but i thought if I mist regularly, maybe more often I shouldn't worry - I keep it in to monitor RH consistency. But I guess I'll have to get a proper one. About air stone - it's on the way so tomorrow I'll install it in with heater + some h2o2. That should keep contams out.
There are some water droplets on the sides of the FC but I think these are not indicators of proper RH. I read somewhere on this forum that this happens due to heat difference...anyway tnx for the advice. I'll mist more often =)

I installed bubble stone. Now that little fellow has grown somewhat and I think I should pick it up since the veil breaks but I'm not certain because this is still the only activity going on in FC. And one more thing: Is that mycellium looking thing at the base of stem ok?

IME adding any kind of water and airstone/wand to a SGFC always messed up my RH by about 15-20% other then that and the strange looking perlite......Rock on Brother it looks good!!!!
