no. they will not work. as stated above you want .2 um. Here's the ones you want:

**Note - the size of the Whatman doesn't matter. I got 13mm cuz that's what they had on sale.

you can go to hobby lobby and buy EZ-felt. no clue what the um is but I have done 100+ jars with no contams. 80 cents for a big sheet...

Whatmans are not to be used on grains jars as they don't allow enough GE. They're for LCs, because you only need GE for LC jars to ensure there is no vacuum.

Yea, you can use EZ-felt or SFDs or Tyvek or Polyfil as a filter for your jars. I like Whatmans, because I manually swirl my LCs by lifting the jar by the lid & making a circle motion w/ my wrist. Whatmans ensure that no liquid will touch my filter.
