The way I see it sex is not always important. I love it but it comes at a great cost. Time is money. Dating or searching bars takes time and money. Having a girlfriend definitely takes time and money.

I agree pretty much entirely with this post. A few years back I used to try and get as much ass as possible, but now adays I don't even really care about trying to get laid, I'm more about having someone I genuinely enjoy to wake up next to or spoon up with and watch a movie.

My only concern about not having sex for extended periods of time, is that I think I've read somewhere over time your hormones level will eventually reduce, so women can almost literally 'smell' the forever alone on you. That, and falling out of practice of talking to women.

I do think the person who commented on how to pick up women had sort of the right idea, I think most women are looking for some of those traits, but not to that extreme. I usually make jokes at a girls expense, not too offensive, but just to let her know we are on an even playing field and that I'm not going to follow her vagina around like a lost little puppy.

Any thoughts on the "if you don't use it, you lose it" aspect of not getting laid? Has anyone else heard that before?

Two things...

  • Making "jokes" at a girl's expense isn't the way to garner respect from a woman. I get what you're saying, you want the girl to know you're not a push-over whose just going to lay down & take it, just so you can be with her. Word. I'm not too sure about the secretion of hormones stopping if you aren't continuously sexually active. It's definitely possible. But I think sex is something you pick up again real quick. I don't think the longer you go without sex the more likely you are to lose your 'mojo' so to speak.

& word about the joking... I get what you're going for. And it's good you don't insult them personally. A lot of guys do that and I just find that to be so awful. No way dude. My boyfriend was awkward as fuck the first night we met. Very nervous, very quiet. But when he did talk, he had me cracking up laughing with his intelligent & hilarious observations about the social situation we were in (he had a house party/basement rave at his place with a bunch of people there). We've been together 4  and a half years since that day and it's been the best, healthiest, most respectful relationship I've ever been in.

It was a weird situation.  She was my ex from high schools best friend.  She had been talking to me online about her shitty bf and her cat all the time.  Then her boyfriend was making her get rid of the cat so she was telling me how she was going to take it to the pound.  I just decided to take the damn cat to save her the trauma of taking it to the pound ( I  already had two cats too dammit.....).  She brought it over and I ordered some food and we ended up just banging all night and she dipped in the morning.
