Honestly a cube is a cube. They all grow under the same conditions. It's all about genetics.
So you'll either have to do some strain isolations to get good potency or cross your fingers and let chance decide.

How are EQ Ecuadors and Cambodians?

Thai's are easy to grow but were mostly speedy body high, Ecuadors are better imo..

I heard Thai's are also very visual on top of being speedy. More "recreational". http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=36799
Are those descriptions accurate?
How would you describe Ecuador strains?

Any opinions on potency and effects can vary greatly from person to person.
Mindset and setting have FAR more influence on a trip than strain.

I broke down Ecuadors in my journal, along with some other strains. I personally am not a subscriber of the cube is a cube credo, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions

Neither am I. But after a great deal of research, only PE seems to get better than average potency ratings.
I do believe a strain is a strain... but any print can create millions of strains.
EQ's are FAR from my favorite trip.

Ok, African Transkei is definitely what I want to spend my time on. psilocybinjunkie, I saw some of your old harvest pics... beautiful
I've been searching vendors for a good hour now, and I have yet to find any African Transkei in stock. Can any of you point me in the right direction?

I've heard about that one, but havent actually seen it.
Have you tried seeing if the hawk Eye (www.thehawkseye.com) has it?
They had fast delivery and everything has worked out great.

I'm a bit and had a random thought about strains. Really wanted some comments on it. I was inspired while reading this awesome post from mycoelf
On a basic level, each of our strains are a set of morphological traits. We depend on those specific sets to remain constant; to have 'true breeding' stability. If I understand the post correctly, the more spore prints = further removed from genetic origin = possible morphological changes. We would need tightly controlled distribution and cultivation protocols to truly preserve a strain. Since that is probably implausible to implement, what would happen if we just accepted the genetic drift & variation.
We could describe each fruit and its associated colony by a set of selected descriptors. Imagine a checklist of descriptors that you could use to characterize an individual fruit. There could be hundreds of descriptors! I know, impractical, but I'm a data whore. More data can provide creative ways to utilize it.
A possible application could allow 'strain' stabilization. Not strain in the traditional sense, but a strain phenotype. The phenotype being described by the list of descriptors. Therefore, any MS flush could produce multiple 'strain' phenotypes. This could help standardize the way strains are described, making it easier for the typical cultivator to ensure passing on spores from the proper fruits.
This collection of individual descriptors will also allow us to 'create' new 'strains', by creating new phenotype sets. Example, you get a funky looking mutant. You identify all the matching descriptors and name the set 'Sock Puppet'. Now people can say they got a Sock Puppet fruit by matching it to your set. They could clone it and maybe get a flush of Sock Puppets. You get what I mean...
Just saying, a move to standardization could be interesting. Probably implausible
