I have some plates with newly transferred wedges with fruits growing on them. Should I just let them do their thing or should I try to section of some of the fresh mycelium on to new plates? Is it common for this to happen with pink oysters? peace

is the plate fully colonized? I usually don't get pins until it is. But yes, I do get them then.

I used a colonized plate that was starting to turn pink. And transfered sections of it to new plates. Five days from then I now have coral pink pins growing of of the little sections. There is also regular growth as well.

My pink oysters often start fruiting before they colonize entire plate and then they usually stop spreading.

I can't get pinks to grow on petri dishes either once they've started fruiting.

Transfer chunk or mycellium or even fruitbodies to a new petri and then they'll switch back to grow mode.

they are tenacious little pricks - if you transfer a wedge to some sterile water, it will fruit in the water!
