No worries. You have your situation under control.
I like to recommend making tea to people who are worried about the condition of their fruits. This helps with bacterial infections if not with the toxins they can produce.
(those hounds really get going!)
Take care,

Hey guys thanks for all the input. It looks like that jelly thing occurs on a lot of bulk substrate too. It's harmless and just a sign of growth!

Do you have a dish strainer by your kitchen sink? If so, go look at the bottom where the water drips and see if there is that clear jelly stuff there as well. If so, then it's your water. I think it's due to sediment build up or something. As far as I know, it's harmless.

The mycelium seems to produce this clear jelly by itself; I have seen it many times on cakes and its harmless. Water cannot become jelly by itself. Its the mycelium that produces this via its metabolism.
The term mycelium piss would describe yellow runoff from mycelium, I have personally never seen this myself at all but people seem to report it from time to time.

I've never seen it on mycelium myself, but I have seen a clear jelly like substance on the bottom of my dish strainer, which I believe is from the chemicals or sediments in my tap water. I'm not really sure what causes it, but I thought I'd mention it as a possibility, since he said he lets water pool up in his FC.

Water that mizes with other things can of course become slimy etc, but not water on its own. Also leaving standing water in the FC is not a good idea. I wipe my FC clean every day or two when water starts to pool, because I have been to fucking lazy to drill the stupid holes and use the perlite yet. It still works:P
