Hi, its me again. Does anyone have an answer to this simple question? I am very curious if
their is an intermediary step that i may be missing.Do you all case and toss in fruit chamber uncovered OR do you let it sit for a while and/or cover with a lid till it grows over the casing.thanks all.

either or both.
seriously, if you're experienced enough to judge mosture content, it can be beneficial to dp both at the right time.
in the very beginning, probably best to pop it into fruiting chamber so the casing doesn't dehydrate.
but once the myc. begins to peek thru the surface, you'll want to back the humidity down and increase airflow.
a few hours out on a shelf can do wonders, rthen back into the chamber. etc.
also, if you get contams, bringing it out into fresh air and letting the surface dry will often halt the contam's growth. etc.
it's a balancing act, keeping the casing moist, but not too moist.
