Eh, in a way maybe. But some people really are over the top certifiably retarded about this and believe all sorts of irrelevant nonesense.
I have a friend who claims there are alien bases under the ocean floor the government is hiding from us.

I'll believe that if they turn it into an FPS.

and please, don't compare the possibility of a God-head with the possibility of a hidden base underwater. it's world's apart.
Are you arguing for the sake of arguing?
If you make a nonsensical claim of any sort and want/expect other people to believe you, it should be your duty to produce some sort of valid evidence. I thought that was pretty much an established procedure at this point and the basis for all modern science.
You can run around making ridiculous claims but if you have absolutely no evidence to back it up... I'm gunna call bullshit. I'm sorry if you're the type who runs around saying shit like "aliens are controlling our brain waves through cell phone towers and are working on complete mind control to eventually turn us into slaves for the reptilian overlords". But if you're the type of person who runs around saying or believing that shit without a second thought... I guess you have the burden of being a complete idiot.
well, i'm like you... i don't believe everything i hear, i'm skeptical and i make my own conclusions, but i'm not a pragmatic choosey mean asshole. but you know, it's common science to be a dick. no offense.
