I know this is random but I cant help but to feel you are related to the hello kitty chick(the one that is gone now) and bothhands. I know im probably wrong but over time its just the vibe I got.
I do not know many users here well at all and its just something random that pop'd into my mind.
I'm under the influence right now, but do you have any relation to them what so ever?
There was also another user I think that was brought to mind also...
I'm probably just wrong and this post should be passed off as non sense if so BUT do you have any connections at all to them?

I have a short tale of rubber band balls.
As a teenager I worked in a pet store in the fish deparment for like 6 or 7 years. When we got bored we mixed water testing chemicals together to see what would happen or pay people to eat fish food. After having to evacuate the fish room and air it out for about an hour because we produced chlorine gas, we found other ways to entertain ourselves.
We made a rubberband ball and worked on it every Sunday(lots of rubber bands in an aquarium store). I saw it about 8 years ago and it was the size of a grapefruit. I recently went to see an old friend/coworker of mine who kept the ball... He used to work on it while stoned. It's now larger than a basket ball and weighs damn near 20-25lbs. I'm gonna try to get him to take a pictar of it.

The local bike shop here has a rubber band ball the size of basketball.
We've had a few at work the size of a baseball.

I can't imagine going much bigger than that based on the larger rubber bands I have seen. At least common rubber bands.

At a point it just becomes a project and you have to make a few trips to Staples. Typical rubber bands will only stretch to about cantaloupe or soccer balls size so you have to upgrade at some point. We took turns buying bags of rubber bands after that point. The store owner found it under the counter it at grape fruit size and she was like "you know, I should be mad that you guys wasted several bags of rubber bands, but I'm kinda impressed with your dedication." Then she told us to buy our own rubber bands

Are you in the process of making it still? If so just keep it up till you don't wanna buy rubberbands anymore. Once it hits 15-20lbs the progress gets really slow. Then the rubber bands get dry rot and start snapping.
