is it too late to incubate?

someone unknown inoculated some jars about 2 weeks ago. 6 of them got fucked up but the other 6 seem fine, although they have been growing very slowly. first signs of growth were seen about 2 days ago, and only on 3 of the jars. the temp has been about 70-80F but growth was still very slow. the unknown grower finally got the funds and materials to build an incubator using and aquarium heater and a cooler but is it too late to incubate? if he incubates now will it still speed up the growth?

I'm no mycologist-but I think it would speed it up-in a mycobag I once had I just let it sit for a week and it was slow, then I put it in my newly made incubator and it started up a lot faster. So I'd think it'd be fine. -Mr.Sleep

How did you make your incubator? I tried to make one last night but it didn't go as planned.

i plan on making it out of a cooler with a tray fitting snugly inside it and some water at the bottom with an aquarium heater hanging from the tray.

I cant find the link i got the idea from, but i made an incubator that fits inside a staples box out of two tupperware containers that are the same size, stacked in each other with an aquarium heater. I stuck it through the side with a rubber gromit, if your interested just tell me and i can get you some pics maybe.

It's never too late to incubate, but you should invest some more time to find out why they are slow to begin with, because those are really slow. so find the prob and make sure you can fix it next time.
