pressure cooker??

they say get a huge pot to steam the jars but a lot of people i hear use pressure cookers

perhaps someone could help me on this should i just go get a pressure cooker

not even sure what they are used for

hehe

for PF tek just steam. IF you want to do grain teks in the future you might as well get a pressure cooker. PCs are usually used for cooking various foods, its fast and reliable

ok so for pf tek i can use a pressure cooker

will i have to add water to the cooker when im steaming the jars

i know thats probably a stupid question

no doubt that pressure cookers work wonders, they almost always guarantee sterilization/pasteurization of substrate. However, it's an added expense, a little tricky to use at first, and the fact that successful cultivation can be done with steam sterilization (which is easier and cheaper) is a testament to its affectiveness. But it's really up to you, and how much you want to invest in the hobby, imo.

What I did in the past was buy it, use it, and then return it. Yah.....fucked up, but Oh well. Sorry for the 1000000000000 post

I have a pressure cooker and it works wonders.It takes half the time and i've never had a jar to contam using it.You have to add water before you use it but you do NOT add water after you get it going.If you get one you will see why!
