Just spawned with BRF Cake

My friend has BRF in the jars for 21 days. He decided to spawn some poo. This is the first time be "birthed a cake" so he has some questions
When he broke the cake in half he did see white specks in the middle of the cake he assumed they were mycelium and vermiculite. He is not sure...........
They were about a 50/50 percent compared to the BRF and verm. Is this enough colonization?
Should he see complete mycelium on the inside like on the outside of the cake?

You should be ok to spawn. The reason it is all white on the outside is because it has nowhere else to grow. Vermiculite does not contain nutrients and will not be consumed by the mycelium.

But my friend wonders if there is BRF/Verm makes up the whole cake....

1)Shouldn't a fully colonized cake be all white right through to the center?....
2)How long should he give the mycelium to get to the center of the cake.
3)At this point, should he cold dunk the cake to innitiate pins or should he wait for them to pin in thier own time?

That looks like its about ready to be fruited. If you want to case it then go ahead and do so, im sure that you would be fine if you put it into the fruiting chamber also. It looks like a nice healthy cake. If you want to make your mushrooms even better, then you could wait another week (at most) to see some invitro pinning, that is a good signal that the cake is super healthy. If you don't want to wait, i'm sure you'll be all set to birth that baby. Good luck man!
