Cottonseed hull forcubensis?
    #15765269 - 02/05/12 05:33 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I've found a premade substrate mix online (in Asia) that is cottonseedhull, wheatbran and a little wood chips.

What do you guys think of this mix for growing cubensis? (Mazatapec)

That's a wood lover substrate, not for cubensis.  Look for a dung or straw based substrate.  Cotton seed hulls are a great supplement for cubes though.

Thanks for the advice. I know I need dung/straw but this is what I found. I'm happy to hear that cottonseed hulls are ok. I searched for the cottonseed hulls before but couldn't find anyone who had used them for cubensis.

The wheat-bran is ok too i guess. There's apparently not much wood in it the mixture. Ill give some of it a shot with one of my cakes if they turn out okay. I've found somewhere to get my shit for next time.
