Bacteria, Indoor or Outdoor?

Well i have a nice amount of some healthy looking spawn, 3-4 quarts or so. One problem, it can't finish ona reasonable time because bacteria is slowing it down. After 2 months of waiting seeing an inch of growth i decided to spawn. I did a good job of seperating the uncolonized from the, colonized (though you can't get every kernel) the mycelium looks thick and healthy (though a bit dry). Using a low spawn ratio, and putting some h2o2 on the spawn should i try to colonize it indoors giving it gas exchange? or should I put it outdoors with perhaps a screen over the tray to hold some humidity? DO you think the mycelium would have a hard time doing a decent job of colonizing with light and fresh air exchange? Help please, i got it all set up now but i don't know what to do.

I've had things work out lots of time with a little bacteria. I would leave out the peroxide. Should do fine indoors, just treat it like normal but keep it away from everything else you might have. It would also do fine out doors.

Hmm, so is the peroxide particularly harmful to the mycelium? WOuld it be a good idea to put a lid with holes and micropore tape on the container, but leave it out where there's a draft? That way it still gets a little fresh air, but no light and it won't dry out as easily. I want to give the mycelium the upper hand, because the bacteria seemed to be slowing it down alot in the jar.

PC some more grain, and use a couple good clean kernels of spawn to start a new jar.... that will save you a week or two of germination time... Id only do 1 jar though... and if it turns out good do G2G to grow it out.

The peroxide would hurt it more than help it. I would focus your effort on getting some new spawn going. There really isn't a lot of potential left if it has a significant amount of bacteria but if you don't want to give up on it really all you can do is try spawning it and hope for the best.
