recently i saw a good friend of mine who had some poppies in his garden. totally unexpected by this. can u harvest tar/gook after u say cut the plants down and they are still fresh or no?

You can dry them out and make tea out of them. Not sure about scoring them fter they've been chopped down, my guess would be yes. Why not just give it a try and find out?

A dog told me once that you can chop em and slice the pods after.. just cant let them start drying.. unless tea is your cup. hehe.. jojoba

do they have a whitish powder that can be rubbed off with a wet tumb??

a close firend of mine said they were poppies and he has a greenthumb it has the tale tale red flowers and the big seed pod. friend said they scratched one it and it spews yellow goo. this sound about right or is there ones that similar p. somniforum that aren't active? beautiful flowers regardless.

well yea they are the tale tale smooth green and meet up top bundled pods that look oh so inviting definately not prickley same type i see on poppies.org so im almost 100% they somniforum brand. also with further talking with friend he said they spew gook.

warning to all: just because a poppy spews latex doesn't confirm or deny that it's a Opium poppy. I wouldn't even consider spewing any form of latex from any poppy when trying to make an id.
