!/2 pint jars??
    #15756144 - 02/03/12 01:57 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Im using half pint jars for my cakes and i couldnt find and any wide 1/2 pint jars so i got these (link below) their taller but still 1/2 pint so im not sure how far to fill them up with the verm and rice flour mix and then how much dry verm on top. Becuse on the video i watch the guy used thw ider jars and only put a 1/2cm of dry verm on top.

Thos will work just fine, I use the same jars for my brf cakes. The only problem I ever had with them was forgetting about my jars one time and they started to fruit invitro, so i cracked the jars open so I could pull the cake out in one peice.
My dry verm layer is usualy half inch.

You fill the substrate up to the start of the threading and then the rest only dry verm. Good luck getting those cakes out in one piece though and there's a good chance of them stalling during colonization.
