My dealer called me up last night and told me she had some mushrooms. I'm thinking about buying a 1/4 oz(about 7 grams) and taking it all. I'm just looking for advice on preparation for the trip, set and setting, etc. I don't really have anyone else to do it with. Is that a problem? I've tripped before, sometimes alone, but I've never taken this much before. Is my house an ok place to do it, or should I go to a park or something where I can be with nature? Should I do it during the day or night? Thanks for your help.

Don't go in a park or in a public place. At that dose, you could pretty much lose all contact with reality, and you don't want that happenning in front of strangers.
Day/night is up to you. I usually like dosing around 6:30 and watching the sun set as I'm coming up. It's a great experience.
A sitter would be a good idea. Find someone who won't annoy you or ask you if you're "fucked up" every two minutes.

Is a sitter really necessary, tho? Cuz there might be a problem with getting one.

3 to 5 dried grams. DO not eat 7. Especially if you have not done any before.

If you're implying that I do a lower dosage, I'm sorry, but it's not gonna happen. I've had Level 3 and Level 4 trips before, but now I want to go all the way with it.

Id dose at 2 a clock. You and you alone knows if you need a sitter or not. You also might want to make sure that the mushrooms are not more potent than what you usually take. If you previously got shrooms that have lost potency during drying and the ones your getting now were dried correctly you might trip harder off of less than what youd expect. McKenna's heroic dose was also only 5 grams and your suppossed to sit in complete darkness/silence. If you eat 7G's You might want to read Joshuas post in the picture forum where he ate a 60 gram b+. He has some damn helpfull tips. Good luck

being alone is the only way to be, preferably dose so your wanting to fall asleep around sun up (midnigt-2am) Do it alone, but preferablly be able to be outside aswell as in the warmth of your bed, you may feel claustrophobic inside, but may not be functioning well enough to go outside. Good luck.

Update: I just bought the shrooms, and ended up buying 5 grams instead of 7.

5 even 7 grams of good dried mushies is not that bad...I've done 10g once, 9 grams twice and a few times with 7 and I think 7grams is just great...my friend grows his own awesome mushies that give you crazy visuals and I say go for 7g the next time you have a chance...it's def an eye opener to the world and I know for myself it makes you want to keep searching more for that meaning of life and reality...7 g I say u don't need a sitter...but if you go over that like 10g have at least someone with you who can be a sitter or is tripping as well, because u don't have to worry about walking much on that high of a dose because it was almost impossible for me to leave my floor for a few hours...eat as much as you want, relax and just enjoy the ride

I took 7 grams at a festival last May.
I was one pussy hair away from losing my shit in front of everyone including people I worked with. I took 5 grams in public one or twice and was fine, but I didn't take into account the fact besides the extra two grams i'd be taking I was around people who were shoving high quality weed in my face all the time when I was used to shwag.

MJ is right..
Dont do 7 grams at once if you haven't done it before, and especially if you dont know the quality/potency of the mushrooms you are getting.
I would suggest starting with 3 grams, and see how you feel and work your way up from there if the intensity isn't as desired.
Drugs are something you shouldn't play with, its better safe then sorry.
And although it may be hard for you to get a sitter I still think that it is in your best interest to take time in finding one, because you could really hurt yourself if you lose touch with reality.
Make sure your comfortable with your surroundings before dosing, any inner discomfort you have before or after you dose could result in a bad trip - which is definately not cool!

No way am I only doing 3 grams. I'm not looking for a recreational dose. I'm looking for an eye-opening spiritual experience. I want to experience ego death and become one with the universe. I've had recreational trips before, but that's not my reason for doing shrooms. I want to do shrooms in order to become more enlightened, not to just have a good time. There's no way anyone can talk me out of doing this. All I was asking for in the first place was advice as to go about doing it.
