I was thinking of trying out an ultrasonic humidifier and i was wondering how many tubs can a large humidifier run. One like the sunbeam.
Also has anybody used AGAR's tek for a home made humidifier, out of a 50 gal plastic drum with ultrasonic heads and fan . If so, how many tubs has this unit run.

The problem with trying to run too many tubs from one ultrasonic is the chance of water droplets blocking your lines. If you have a smooth way to run lines to every tub with no dips or kinks then one unit would run about 10+ I would guess. They put out a lot of H2O and on a single tub you do not want to run then for to long, but if you spread that out over several you just increase the run time. Those big fogger barrels are for whole room size grows. I would not want to try and neck down the output for tubs.

I'm having trouble with wrapping my head around your question
If you are referring to monotubs; then you wouldn't be using anything directly inline with them. Perhaps a coolmist running in your grow room if your ambient RH is below 35~40%...
Or; are you referring to a "martha" type setup?
-------------------- Please assume any and all prints exchanged are "WILD" in nature; and thus, should NOT be considered ASEPTIC...
NOTE: Please excuse my brevity, as it is a bitch 'n' a half and slow as hell to type on this here phone

I have seen where ppl run 1 larger pvc pipe ( 2-3inch) along the middle of the mono tubs, with smaller tubes running into each tub from the larger one. They then connect the Ultrasonic to the larger pvc tube to pump FAE and USH fog into each tub from 1 USH. If this is called something else i have not seen it, it more of a variation of the martha, but with monotubs.
I was curious how many units you could hook up to this automated system.
Then there is a Tek by AGAR ( or a variation he made his own) that is a DIY, but a larger version.

Eh, mono tubs are an automated system for all intents and purposes. I see no reason to over complicate with the humidifier. I really don't think you'll see any benefit at all. Unless you just did a horrible job with your tubs and they can't keep their RH up by themselves.

It is more to increase FAE and not loose RH. I do it with oysters in shotgun tubs and it works wonders for them. It may not be needed for cubes but it should work.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Sorry that I don't have anything constructive to add, that was just the first thing I thought of when I read your thread title and I couldn't help myself.

Thats excactly it Trout and leave less chance to open air. Im more interested in eliminating potential issues ( as far as contam's )and add a low level automation to the project.
contam's as a whole are not a huge issue with me. I have read posts on here for awhile and seen some nice work done with USH's and would like to try myself . I also have seen even in good conditions things can dry out and "POINT BLANK" misting sucks.
So in not opening containers to give FAE i could see this as an extra opportunity to alleviate the extra chance of contam's getting in every time you open tubs up.
