Best Way To Fruit Rye Substrate

Wondering what is the best way to fruit fully colonized rye seed substrate jars? I was thinking of putting it in small trays with a coco fiber and Verm casing layer and put the whole thing in a Rubbermaid with perlite, but I'm not sure exactly how that whole process works or if it's the best method. Any input?

Just search for Monotub teks, There's a lot of different methods. Coir/Gypsum/Verm is a popular bulk substrate. There's others such as Straw and worm casings, or Horse poo..
Searching is key.

I've searched mono tubs but that doesn't seem to be the idea I was referring to and I don't want to deal with gypsum.

YES! PC the casing substrate! Cubes do not need soil bacteria to fruit so you have nothing to lose by packing the casing in jars and pcing it for an hour. Pre-moisten it to carrying capacity first. You can always spray it if its too dry once you apply it. I also use the same casing substrate for a bottom casing layer. I basically sandwich the colonized grain between two layers of casing. Some folks say that a bottom casing layer is not important or can lead to contam. but it has always worked great for me; DO sterilize it first, tho. I also spray the rye down with filtered water before applying the top casing. Finally, don't use clear containers or you will get pins all over the sides underneath the plastic
Below is cased with peat/verm plus lime and gypsum (50/50 +)
all i ever use.

the peat is acidic. it needs a buffer. I have never used a casing without adding lime (calcium) and gypsum (sulpher)

Neither are available in my area. And I've read it's not necessary.
