I have read about cultivating shrooms for about a month.I ordered golden teachers, and p.ricans.The golden teachers were inoculated 7 days ago and all of the jars are showing 20-30%colonization.{i will inc.pics on next post}.Should i,dunk and roll, straight birth,or spawn to bulk? And if bulk does any one have a good recipe to use w brf/verm.THANX

If this is your first time, I would recommend the dunk and roll to SGFC. However, you can spawn to bulk with pf-cakes, use this tek and replace the grain jars with cakes.

I like to carefully remove the cakes from their jar, rinse them under the sink making sure to not touch any surfaces. (kitchen sinks are full of nasties)
Then submerge the cakes in a pot of water for 24 hours.
Roll them in some vermiculite and place in your terrarium!
Good luck to you friend

There are a few teks for using a cheese grater to grate up your cake to a bulk substrate like coir. It will take longer as you now have to wait for the bulk to colonize, but I have read the yields can be pretty good.

From one noob to another-
I've been doing a lot of research on those options too. On the majority of the threads, the concensus is "let cakes be cakes" and "cakes are best as cake". (although there are TEKs out there for spawning BRF, I have a few bookmarked, so let me know if you want me to send them to you). And after posting 2 of my own threads asking pretty much the same question, everyone is telling me to get through the first flush and use that to go bulk. Using spore prints...
While waiting for your wife, take a look at this thread, its a combination of 100s of RRs post that can answer a lot of questions about going bulk and spawning:

After my first flush, I am going to start using Organic Rye Berries. Seems to be highly praised on this site.

Another newb tip is do not get confused with the term Rye Berries. It is just a fancy name for Rye Grain. If you go to a feed store, they may not know what Rye Berries are, where as a fancy grocery store like World Market or Whole Foods might only call it that.
