Possible mold in Jar...Dry verm layer was colonized and is now pinning!

Hello,
I have about ten pint jars colonizing, all Mexican strain. I recently figured out pint jars are not best and not a good substitute when without 1/2 pint jars. Anyway a few jars are nearing full colonization. One however has totally colonized the dry verm layer(must have gotten wet during inoculation) and starting to pin on the now colonized dry verm in jar. The jar also has a hair line crack. There is a small black area about 4 mm long a mm or so wide that has grown more visibly defined over the weeks but not grown in surface area. Rest of the cake looks fine. If the black spot has yet to actually grow in surface area is it safe to move on to fruiting conditions in a week or so?
Thank you!

If you could get a good picture of it it might help identifying it but I would guess it's a contaminant. You might want to consider fruiting it outside if possible as to not contaminate your grow area.

From what I understand new image uploads are down on the site right? As soon as it is up again I will post a few pictures. Thank you Kizzle!
As far as fruiting a cake outdoors, how do you go about that? I did a search and didn't find much. Do I dunk and roll and then bury in the ground?

I think that sticky has been there for too long. I just uploaded some a couple days ago.
You could dunk if you wanted but seeing has how you are trying to avoid spreading any mold spores it would probably be best to skip it. You can dig a hole and do it that way or just place a layer of soil over it and water down the soil. I usually do this with any contaminated substrates as well as old nearly spent substrates. Sometimes even the ones in the worst condition will surprise you with a few mushrooms.

Finally was able to get some pics. I forgot to shake syringe. I would love to find out that maybe it is a mass of spores or just vermiculite? What do you think? Contam or bacteria? Or could it be something else?
