I am doing the self healing injection port baby bottle lc tek. With this method there is no gas exchange. I had an idea and would enjoy some input. I was going to stuff an old syringe with polyfill pc for a bit 15-20 minutes with it wrapped in tin foil. Inoculate these and afterwords stick the syringe with polyfill in the injection port an let it sit til it's done growing pulling it out to swirl. Is this an alright idea or a horrible one.

thats what you wanna do. If you have micropore that would work probs a little better than the polyfill, but you got the idea. Here is the thing, when those baby bottles cool down after pcing, there will be a vacuum in there, thats when you wanna hit it with the polyfil syringe to alleviate the pressure, NOT AFTER. LC's don't really need much GE. I know some guys keep it in, i find it unnecessary and its also another possible contamination vector

I'll just leave it out I have had success without GE so I'll stick with what works. Thanks for the input.

There's two methods the polyfill Syringe method and pc'ing with loose lids.
I'll alleviated the vacuum and then noc up.

cuz if you're like "what vacuum" and the negative pressure isn't drawing in the syringe you're inoculating with, you've got all the GE you need for an LC. But, that also means you've got a hole somewhere raw air can re-enter...thats another contamination vector, unless its taped around the threads.

yeah, thats fine, just remember PCing with loose lids should probably be re tightened once you transfer it from the PC when its cool, preferably inside a glove box or flow hood.
My trick now for doing open air inoculations, is having a really fucking hot alcohol burning stove where I'm working. Not sure why it works or the physics behind it, but proofs in the pudding.

I have 3 tight and 3 loose. I was going to tighten the loose ones in the pc right after opening. Unless a transfer to my glove box would be better.
