Quick Pinning Question

My dog has 4 filter patch shroom bags filled with rye berry substrate that he's innoculated with B+ strain. They are all thick with white mycelium, and seem ready to pin.
They've been sitting in a pitch black drawer this whole time, and he still doesnt see pins.
Should he:
1 - Keep waiting and leave them in the dark until pins appear, then give it sunlight each day until harvest?
2 - Take out the bricks of substrate and put it on a wet paper towel on top of some perlite until pins appear and fruiting occurs?
3 - Expose the shroom bags to a period of sunlight each day until the pins appear, and THEN put them on a wet paper towel on perlite until fruiting?
I think it may be #3. If it is, does anyone have any recommendations for how much sunlight each day?
He would be very greatful.

you could: use your substrate and make a casing...or grow your bags invitro...
if you go with the latter, you could cold shock your brick overnight, then keep it under full light for best results... mushies are phototropic and dont necessarily need light to fruit, but in my experience....light induces pinning greatly.

So you're saying cold shocking it would be the best way to get it to produce pins quick? And that he should just let it grow inside of the bags?

cold shock overnight, thenafter, expose to light 24/7 the above combination should gaurentee pinz...(assuming you are growing them invitro (in the bags)
if you want to case, that will take more time...at the very least, a week...week and a half...before you see hyphal knots...
