beard trimmer for body hair?

thinking about purchasing a beard trimmer for use on my body hair. anyone do this successfully or does it tug too much?

I use an old Wahl clipper for manscaping when I feel it's needed.
It came with a bunch of guards to go over it, most of which are too long than I prefer, but there's one that's the perfect size. I'd recommend one of those.

I would suggest the following for best results:
step 1) beard trimmer will get rid of most of the length and leave stubble
step 2) razor blade will get rid of stubble.
i don't recommend trying to shave long thick hair with a razor, it'll keep getting clogged

I just use regular hair clippers with no attachment on it.
