I imagine that most agaricales (gilled fungi) have this property. The gills edge orients itself in the direction of gravitation. When caps form upside down, the gills are often closed like window blinds.

Just a thought.

That is true not only for agaricales (gills & tubes) but also for aphyllophorales like spiny Hydnaceae. The spore bearing surface always tries to be perpendicular to the ground to maximize the number of released spores.
