Is dried brewer's yeast acceptable
    #15735548 - 01/29/12 08:35 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Is dried brewer's yeast an acceptable substitute when making Stamets MYP?

Malt Yeast Peptone Agar (Stamets MYP)

20 g extra light malt extract
  1 g yeast extract
    1 g peptone
    15-20 g agar
    1 L water

Thanks, k00laid!

I home brew occasionally and a always have a pint or more of spent yeast when I wash out my carboys.  A pint would probably be a lifetime supply, but why buy what you already have!
