My girlfriend is going to do shrooms for the first time tomorrow. How many grams should she do? I dont want her to take too much and have a bad trip.

I would recommend a solid 3.5 grams (that is 1/8th). I feel like its the perfect amount for the shrooms experience. You only get one first time, you don't want to be shorted of the experience.
However, if she lacks experience with other drugs (ie weed, acid, ect.) then she might want to consider something like 2 grams.

Lol, if you already had a predisposition of how much she 'ought' to take in your opinion, why would you have even asked at all?
I mean I understand the whole protective boyfriend bullshit but dude... they are just shrooms. If she is ready to take them she is ready.

It depends on the situation. It's her first time, will you be sober? There's a possibility that she might get anxiety being around a sober person, I know I do. I prefer to trip with other people who are also experiencing a trip, especially my first time. If you will be sober, then a low dose is recommended. 1.5-2.0g is a good starting point.
If you are also going to be tripping with her, then you should both take the same dose. When you take different doses, one person may feel dissatisfied. Other negative feelings can come from differing doses as well. I would suggest 3.5 for both.

I'd say half an 8th, so 1.75 grams? It's mellow and appropriate.

I'd say around 2.5 grams, enough to get into the tripping mindset but not too much for someone's first time.

How much does she weigh? What kind of mushrooms are they? The smaller she is, the less she should take. It is better to start off small to see if they agree with the individual or not. Did she express a genuine interest in taking them, or did you suggest she take them? People that really want to try something will seek it out on their own. Its never good to coerce someone into doing something they aren't prepared for and committed to.
In any case, most people of a normal body weight would take 1-2 grams for milder effects depending on certain things. In general though, I would take at least a gram(of cubensis) to have any sort of noticeable effect.
Make sure she is not pregnant, epileptic, bi-polar, schizophrenic, or taking any MAOIs. It wouldn't hurt to have a benzo on hand if possible, such as Valium or Xanax, in case she starts to have trouble handling the experience. Try to make sure she is as prepared and comfortable as possible. She should be in good spirits and without a lot of stress, worries, personal issues, responsibilities, and the like. If she feels ill, there is nothing wrong with throwing up. It can be a relief, lessens the drug's effects, and is a common occurrence. Be sure she knows this.
You should remain sober, to act as a sitter and watch over her to make sure she remains safe. Be supportive and communicable.
It never hurts to research something as thoroughly as possible before you try it. Don't rush into things.

3.5g. My first trip was on 3.5g and it was amazing and one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Do more than a gram... I only had a gram my first time and it was the most dissappointing shit ever... it depends on if she's eaten as well.. keep in mind that a lot of trip reports etc people don't eat before and/or fast. I would say anywhere from 1.5-2.5 depending on whether she's eaten, how much she weighs etc. Personally next time I trip I'm probably gonna go for 2g-3g cause 1g was absolute shite.

Thanks guys for the input!
She's short and small so that's why I'm thinking a lower dose. I only took around 1.5 grams my first time, and I was out of this world! Best night of my life.
I do plan on tripping with her tonight. We have wanted to trip together for a very long time and we're both so damn excited and I'd say we're as prepared as were gana get.
