Hi everyone,

About 2 months ago I was introduced to Brain Sync, a company which produces precision-engineered sounds which alter your mental state by mimicking the frequencies of specific brain waves. I have found that this "Brainwave Therapy" is quite effective.
For more info, see http://www.brainsync.com/brainlab/about-brainwave-therapy.html

I was wondering if anyone else here at the shroomery was familiar with this technology, and if anyone has tried listening to brainwaves while under the influence of mushrooms or another psychedelic drug. I am looking to try it myself the next time I trip, but this will take a while since I won't have a good opportunity to trip in the coming weeks.

I see potential in this brainwave technology for helping people steer their trip in the direction they want, or get people out of bad trips. For example, Brain Sync has released productions that can help put you in many different mind states: relaxed, focused or even ecstatic!

I am looking forward to hear your opinion!
Peace,

Trencherman

I tried that at this research place. they had me hooked up to all this stuff and had me watch videos with specific things i was supposed to look for, play some simple games, and listen to some brainwave music. I did it when I was sober and then they were able to tell I had been smoking just by how I did the next tests. They called it brain training. They didnt like that I had been smoking so I stopped doing the brain training.

I knew this guy who took 5g dried equadorian cubensis on a solo journey accompanied by this BrainSync music.  By all accounts it was a very powerful experience.  Preceded by fasting and a day of quiet reflection, this brave journeyman consumed the dose in a honey and lemon concoction followed by sitting upright and chanting.  The stoic approach did not last long however, and the mushrooms soon took hold and crippled the man into the foetus position, clutching at blankets, a rush of uncomfortable cold as the rapid onset of confusion and terror set in.  The journeyman has not ever taken off with such a quickening sense of travel before (not unlike the DMT high).  Tunnels of light and fast moving mandalic patterns danced to the pulsing and vibing rhythm of this music of bizarre design.  Each track of 20-30 minutes in length consisting of ambient fuzzy piano melodies, repeating patterns of pulsing bass, giving way to clunking and sometimes dark mechanised trance.  The journeyman was not aware of having eyes open or closed during the visuals, and was not aware of wearing headphones producing music.  He was totally oblivious to the visuals being separate from the sound experience.  They were as one.  For hours.

It is not clear whether the effects were a consequence of the high dose, the crazy music, or perhaps both.  On coming down to a bearable level (melting open eye visuals still strong, difficulty with motor skills, but cognitive coherency and understanding of place and time), the journeyman did reflect that the dose may have been too high to fully appreciate.  Or maybe thats the point.

BrainSync is a powerful system of music, and whilst highly recommended, it should be used with caution when in conjunction with psychedelics.  Especially when flying solo.

Enjoy.
