When I first saw your thread, I thought "Thousands of wild fungi" had to be an exaggeration... But I was wrong!!  I liked the one image you posted so much that I used it to make a new Shroomery logo (even though they don't use them anymore! :frown:) Here it is anyway, for no particular reason:

Peace,

RebelSteve

The first six are inky caps (Coprinus)

Nice pics and great cubies.

And that is one hell of a camera. What kind and how many pixels?

Very nice. Your photos are even detailed enough to positively confirm that those are Coprinus micaceus

For that second one, we need a spore print. Also let us know about texture (is any of it slimy, sticky, whatever...) and odor.

Overall, great photography.

Happy mushrooming!

Thanks for the comments
My camera isnt all that great its merely 2.0 megapixels. It does do a good job outdoors in natural light though. Indoors its alright but no comparison. I have shit loads of pics at Nansnook. Im a mycophotographer and cultivar. By no means pro, just a hobby that takes all my time. LOL mycojunkie you could say...

Oh the camera is a SOny Cybershot 2.0

I used to get fruitings of coprinus that big outside my grandmas cabin in Nebraska, I think they still fruit in the same spot every year. Awesome pics!

Jesus! Too bad Coprinus aren't active; I always find HUGE clusters of them around the base of trees. Dang... :-)
