extremely slow/stalled golden teachers

Hey all-
So my first grow went swimmingly- B+ on BRF. Straight PF-tek of 10 cakes with great yields (for a newb) and 0% contamination. 5 flushes in all!
But I have been really disappointed with the golden teachers this time around. I got the syringe from the same source as the B+. I could see lots of spores in the syringe. inoculated 20 days ago (steam sterilized 90 minutes and let cool overnight, same sterile procedures as first grow). I had to throw one jar away yesterday due to green mold. It looks like some green is in another jar now too.
The Myc growth in most of the jars is at about 80%, but some are still less than halfway colonized! It also seems like the growth has stalled. With the B+, all jars were contam free and fully colonized within three weeks. These jars have been kept at about 82-84.
I am worried that the contams are gonna beat out the myc. Should I turn jars upside down to speed growth? Has anyone had such slow growth with the golden teachers? Is there a faster or more contam resistant strain to try next time? Any advice much appreciated!!!

PS.C. is the strain. B+ or GT are varieties of said strain.
Don't flip them, as you'll probably get a contam from that. Be patient, you're dealing w/ an MS inoculation, which contains a cornucopia of genetics.
BRF cakes can take 3 weeks to 2 months to fully colonize.
Also, I'd bring down your temperature a bit. I keep all my jars, bulk, etc. colonizing at 74.

what types of jars are you using, the wide short fat 1/2 pints, or the tall skinny 1/2 pints?
Did you torch the end of the needles before you stuck them in each time and did you use a glovebox?
turning the jars upside down can aid the mycelium to colonize the jars faster, but because the top layer of vermiculite is dry it will move around which can introduce contams... also, because of gas exchange, i've personally found that its best to just leave them like they are...
If you introduce the jars to a 12/12 schedule with light, they WILL begin to colonize a little quicker.
Don't get too disappointed right now, you have a few more steps involved before you can do that :P

Thanks for the replies. I use the short wide mouth 1/2 pint jars. I just lowered the temp and left jars in the closet as is. I will try introducing light - I have never heard of doing this to colonizing jars. I did sterilize the needle between jars and followed sterile procedures (I didn't use a glovebox last time and had no contams, so I didn't bother to build one this time). I guess I got cocky from a very successful first grow :-)

Total darkness during colonization is old outdated information. indirect 12/12 lighting is great for colonizing mycelium.
