I sold it to a guy who lives in my town so it was an in person transaction. But I do trade beers with people online using fedex. It works good except one time my package showed up soaking wet and reeking of beer.

There really isn't much of a market for aged beers, I just got lucky. People usually age beer to be drunk or traded for other rare beer. I've never even thought of selling beer before this.

I have a bottle of utopias that I got for free when my old roomate moved out and left his shit behind. Me and some buddies drank the rest of it at a party so its empty now though.
I wonder if the bottle would still be worth something?

Yeah man it's really fun. Thanks to trading on Beer Advocate I've been able to try a bunch of good beer that's not distributed where I live and in return hooked people up in other parts of the country with beers they can't get. It's a great thing but expensive to ship heavy boxes of beer so I try not to get carried away.

I have one of the 06/06/06 still aging in the collection, it was pretty tasty when I tried it fresh. It's a Belgian Dark Ale brewed with anise and cedar.

Well it's supposed to be peaking this year after the 12/12/12 is released so I'll find out at the tasting. Unless I sell the complete set.

I have 2 12oz bottles of this. my wife had a friend who worked for Anheuser Busch for a while. she gave us quite a bit of sample beers and regular beers on a trip we has to the Lou.
I decided to keep these 2 since it never made it to full scale production in 6 packs that I know of. I hope they will be worth something, someday.

From a reviewer:
Quote:
Story was told to me that a contest was put on by AB and the winner would receive distribution privilages and profits for a certain amount of time. We need to find out what happened and bring it back. Great notes, great feel, first chocolate carmel that I could drink w anything. Loved it.
Wonder if that is true, any info?
Makes me think of Long Shot beer from Sam Adam's. Brewed by local folks and distributed by a brewery.

I recommend saving Bigfoot barley wine by Sierra Nevada. They brew it every year, I usually try to save a 6 pack for at least a year or 2, always hard for me though
Not sure if you can make hundreds like that, but I know if you had some from 5 years ago right now I'd be interested in it

Dude read above. Higher alcohol beers tend to hold up better. Imperial Stouts, Robust Porter perhaps, Barleywines. Any beer with a percent ABV of above... 10% I would say.
