Issues with a cake

I have a cake that has been in the terrarium for quite awhile now, it took at least two weeks to show any pins (no problem, that can happen) but now there are two other issues. First, it has produced few pins; normally, when pins show, a whole bunch of them come up. Second, and perhaps more worrisome, they're not really growing, or if they are its been incredibly slow. Its been like 3-4 days and they don't seem to have increased in size at all. Is something wrong, or should I just wait it out?

Double check your conditions?
What are they sitting at?
Do you know what they are supposed to be?

There are a multitude of possibilities here. My best guess would be insufficient air exchange combined with a dehydrated cake.
If this is the case, and your pins have not grown more than an inch or so in 4 days, I would suggest dunking the cake, pins and all, and give some extra fanning when you put it back in the FC.

It doesn't appear to be dehydrated, but in all other ways that would make sense, I've been a bit inconsistent with fanning and also light times with this one. As far as dunking, I've rarely done it with pins on the cake, and when I have it went bad. How should I go about doing this, and for how long should it be in the water?

If I dunk it, should it be 12 hours, the full 24 or something in between?
