Using slightly old mycelium?
    #15686778 - 01/19/12 04:32 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Hey guys I have some jars I made back in the beginning of October, are they still able to produce me some good boomers? I have 5 jars .25 to .5 full of birdseed mycelium. one of the jars has some liquid in it but I read that means that the mycelium is just hungry.

Do you guys think I'll still be able to use these jars? I'm going to try anyway, just hoping for some positive feedback!

edit: to clarify, the liquid is clear and is a very small amount, I can only see it when I tilt the jar

you can clone a dry mushroom to agar as long as it wasn't heated, i think you will be fine.

You will be good and there is a thread around here somewhere that talks about extended colonization times lead to greater potency so dont be surprised if they are the best booms youve ever had!!
