Trying to go bulk

Ok so this is my first post I have been reading the forums for almost a year now and have gone from avid tripper to beginner grower I have had good success with pf tek and taking my own spore prints as well as making syringes and starting the process again. Although this is working great I am curious about bulk and possibly higher yields with less day to day leg work. Right now I've got 3 sgfc all producing quite well but misting daily and fanning is becoming a real chore. So far I have only used brf verm mix for my cakes and have only experimented with pint and half pint jars. I just want to get some opinions as to what might be the next step to take to move toward bulk.

Next stop would probably be to get a PC if you dont already have one. Then do grain and spawn to coir or manure. All of that will need to go in some kind of monotub.

Treating you as a complete noob: use the search function, there are threads upon threads upon threads of similar questions with experienced response. Ultimately what people use isn't necessarily the best, but what they prefer for a plethora of reasons that you'll learn through experimentation when you find what works best for you. Try everything that sounds sensible until something sticks. You're going to feel lost until you've made decisions and have experience.
Personally I prefer WBS(wild bird seed), which I use for spawn; it's very cheap and I've gained the experience and technique to efficiently use it. Due to the winter climate I've been skipping the rinse step after the simmer, allowing the heat of the grain to greatly speed the process evaporation (your aim is for it to practically be dry to the touch, otherwise it'll cause a excessively wet colonization environment). The presence of slime mentioned in the tek by not rinsing can be diminished by rinsing well before the simmer; I consider it a worthwhile trade since it wouldn't practically air dry otherwise.
PC = Pressure Cooker, a necessary investment

the Presto 23-Quart Aluminum Pressure Canner is popular cheap brand. or the All American Pressure Canner brand if you want quality.
You want one with the gauge and weight.
You can do bulk without a PC but if you like the hobby then it will be a great investment.

Gypsum, dosen't matter. Coir, garden centers, pet shops, hydro grow shops. Just don't get coir with any additives.
OK, no manure! that will be new for me.

I don't want it to contain corn, and little or no sunflower seeds. No fruit or fancy things in it.
I like WBS to be mostly Milo and millet. it ususally has some sunflower seeds too, it's ok.
It can be confusing, there are so many mixes out there.
I use organic rye berries exclusivly.
Here is what the mix should look like. mostly milo and millet:

If you haven't already, go watch the RR videos http://www.mushroomvideos.com/
Here is a good WBS Tek http://www.shroomery.org/9030/Docs-Wild-Bird-Seed-Tek
You don't want the grains to get to mushy. al dente is good, they should be able to be squished between your finger nails but should not be all exploded and mushy.

One thing I left off the list of helpful tools is a homemade SAB = (Still Air Box)/GB = (Glove Box), or better yet a FH =(Laminar Flowhood).
Good Luck, & have fun
