Heey guys i think i have a contamination. This on with my second tub ever and its PE. top little part of the sub did not colonize with all the rest of the sub and it looks like the myc is fighting it. Where the myc is trying to take over its kinda yellow maybe really light green just in the water condensation around the sub.
Let me know what you guys think? If there is anything i should do?
I cant upload pics sooo this kinda sucks for help but any input would be great

I don't think there should even be any condensation on the sub. Mycelium has a hard time colonizing oversaturated substrate.

Must be dripping off the lid. If that's the case you could try to wipe off the lid every once in a while though it may not be related to the slow colonization at all.

If it's dripping and the drops are landing on that spot it might explain it. Otherwise it could be some kind of contaminant but I wouldn't start worrying about it too much if it has only been colonizing for 4 days.
In fact I would almost be more worried about the 'very very fast' growth. Anytime you see mycelium colonizing way faster than normal you should consider the possibility that it is not mushroom mycelium at all. Many molds will look very similar to mushroom mycelium at first and they colonize much faster than mushroom mycelium.

Yeah that's mold. You couldn't really see it in the first pictures.

Like I think I posted in your other thred, if you can whipe green off the sub then its mold. I'd let it sit till tomorrow, if its more green tomorrow, throw it out. And maybe give real pasterization a try, or a hight spawn ratio.

The best thing to do would be to try and fruit it outdoors. There's no guarantee that it will fruit at all though since you don't know how severe the problem is below the surface.

8qts to one brick is high spawn ratio !!! lol nothing wipes off, no color at all just moist.
I think i will do real pasteurization next time, why half do something

Considering how quickly it contaminated after spawning and the fact that the mold didn't originate on the surface I would think it's probably not related to the pasteurization. I think either you're spawn was contaminated or there were uncolonized grains remaining when you spawned it.

I sure they were 100% colonized. I still have 3 jars of the same spawn i used for the tub, i looked at them today and they look crazy... lots of yellow and some really thick white looking stuff, its smushed agents the glass ill snap a picture for you in a sec
