grain a little wet/warm?
    #15679346 - 01/17/12 05:23 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

So my time was cut short yesterday while I was trying to dry some rye berries/grain (Pre PC). So I had to load my trays (Two 9x13x2 trays) while the grain was just a "little" too moist... and hadn't "completely" cooled down to room temp (I'd say it was semi-warm/moist to the touch, no standing water or anything like that...)

Because my time was so rudely cut short... I inoculated the grain from my MS syringe anyway....

Any opinions on if I just wasted to big piles of grain, along with about 10cc's of MS...?

Should I just cut my losses with the MS(I believe they are a good consistency now moisture and temp wise),and re-PC the grains/re-inoc?

If it were me I'd leave them as they are. A little excess moisture may increase the chances of contamination but it doesn't sound like they're too wet.
