When isolating sectors of tampanensis in a petri dish for sclerotia, (not fruit bodies) am I still capturing rizomorphic mycelium, or is their a different type of mycelium Im after to get plenty of big nice stones?

If I did clone a stone, what would the mycelium look like in the petri dish?

No clue, but I would assume it would give you a decent start.

Don't expect rhizomorphic mycelium with P. tampanensis (or any other sclerotia producing species for that matter). Isolate a few sectors and some will form sclerotia on agar. That's a great sign. From that plate transfer the stone to a new dish. Here's a couple of dishes for reference.
