Need direction for my next shroom move

I have been dabbling with PF tek for a little while now, and am ready to move forward. While the forum is very helpful, the more I read, the more I become confused! I have 2 sets of projects that are incubating at the moment, and have 2 more syringes still available. I am thinking of using some of these jars to start casing for the first time. Or I could use them to start some spawn jars. And then I start reading about LCs, and wonder if I should be doing that too!!! And, is it better to read only recent posts, rather than advice from back in 2002?So, can anyone point me in a logical direction to proceed? I have never done anything like this before, so I feel anxious and intimidated by how much there is to learn (and all the threads can be overwhelming). How much more challenging is it to grow higher yield? I do have plenty of time to put into this at the moment, and have a small budget to work with. I already have a PC. I would love a little encouragement to keep going, please tell me it's worth it and share your experience with me! Thank you so much!

growing a higher yield really isnt much more challenging just spawn to bulk its the time that kills you...but patients is key. casing doesnt effect yield for me and i can almost guarantee you wont c any noticeable difference with your grow.
i wouldnt take any advice that was said in 2002 the best methods have a way of lasting time. so whatever was kept from old info is around in teks that are more recent.

inoculate a pint jar or two of prep'd grain... Then perform "grain to grain" transfers to expand your mycelium...
Here is a grow I did that started with just ONE cc of multi-spore to ONE pint jar: HillBilly Hoedown

The newest info is almost always the best!
LC's will change your life. I would head in this direction first.
Simple sugar / corn syrups are cool. I really like light malt, gypsum and dextrose.
LC's will speed everything up nicely. I find that making LC first then going to grain is still way faster than going from spores to grain, despite the fact that the LC took 10 days to make.
While your LC is brewing you can research grains. I like to go on the dry side. They are pretty easy just soak in hot water (plus any additives you might like coffee, gypsum) for 12 to 24 hours rinse, drain and bag or jar it up.
Damians 50/50 tek is awesome!
I find that the truth is that when coming from multispore as long as your clean your going to have pretty awesome results with just about any tek. If you get an isolate I would then stick to your tek.

Interesting. So, what is the point in doing an extra step in making casings then, if it doesn't increase yield?

Wow, that's amazing! You prefer to use coir for the mono tub? What grain do you prefer to use? I keep reading about rye...

Thank you, I think I will do LCs next, while my cakes are incubating, and then can also research grains and the Damian tek you mentioned. Can you link me to the LC tek you like to use? I mean, the detailed steps that I can follow? Thanks so much!

I don't like wild bird seed, as I find the tiny millet to be a real PITA... I've been using primarily milo with great results... Cereal grains are great, such as rye berries.
