A poo and PH question

I was at the local Hydroponics store today looking for deals on materials for mushroom substraight. My buddy brought up a good question. Since sterile bat guano is offered in so many different PH values and many options, why not use bat poo in place of h-poo? However, what would the effects be on the PH and would it be advised to use the pre-sterilized bay guano in place of hpoo or cow poo? I am wondering this because I would like to have a better answer than "uhh, well, I dunno?"

Poo is poo man, it will work, you just have to figure what buffers and how much of each would be required to get the PH your looking for.. Bat Guano may be too runny(this is from imagination, Ive never seen bat guano so maybe its a solid) to hold as a substrate , look at it for yourself to know.. The buffers would be the right amount of gypsum, lime, whatever other additives people are using now adays.. Just my 2cents

That is the beauty of bat poo its available in literally hundreds of different PH values and consistencies. The way I personally feel I have a perfectly good sub-straight. If it ain't broke don't fix it! I just wanted to be a smart ass and knock my buddies socks off with my infinite and tremendous knowledge or baffle him with bullshit!
