P. cubensis syringes
    #15673603 - 01/16/12 01:11 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Does anyone know how long syringes purchased from a vendor typically remain viable and how they should be stored? I purchased one, but won't be using it for at least another 2 months. I was also wondering how many half pint jars can be inoculated using the pk tek method.

Keep your syringe in the fridge. They usually say to use them within 6 months but I've read of people noc'ing with them as late as a year from the time they received their syringe and it worked fine. Typically you use 1cc per jar so 10 half pint jars. I used 1.5cc per jar on this grow so we'll see how that works out. I did 10 jars. 6 costa rica and 4 B+.

Good luck OP!

You will be fine, a syringe made with fresh spores can last years.

How many jars, that depends on how many cc's are in the syringe. You can get away with 1cc per jar stretching a 10cc syringe for 10 jars.

Edit: Looks like I am slow on the draw....
