It might work, but I would wait until it's 100% colonized so you have no doubts of it's cleanliness.

Theoretically if you keep everything stetile I don't see why this won't work, id Def wait till 100% than wait a day or two after that. Mycology and waiting go hand in hand

what nutrients?
you are shooting water into the jar shaking jar
aspirating mycelium laden water
there are no nutes besides the grains
and the grains wont fit in your syringe.

i was wanting to shoot sterile water in my jar thats 80% colonized then suck out myceliums water after shaking i assumed nutrients on the uncolonized grain kernals would leach off in the water some..

this is all correct, I'm pretty sure he's just asking if he cab do his glc before 100%, I don't think he has the jargon down.

ehhh kind of
not really.
the reason you want to wait till 100% colonization is to look for contams
there could b a trich spore on that 10% uncolonized part.
and you'll suck up a trich spore into your lc syringe.
and then everything you shoot with that syringe will turn green
you CAN get a glc from 90% but you dont WANT to

koolaid - sorry brother, but I disagree. You do get a bit of the nutrients from the grains in the water when you disturb it Then extract the water from the grains & put it back in your jar. I've had GLCs keep colonizing after they've been put back into sterile water. I've got 4 going ATM, actually. lol.

OP - wait till it's 100% before doing the GLC, like everyone above has said.
