Burma on straw wont pin?????

This is my first try with Burma. But everything I've heard about them is they fruit pretty easy. So i have one tub about 4 inches deep with layers of straw and colonized wbs. And cased with 50/50 peat and verm with oyster shell for ph. Jars colonized pretty quick as well did the straw. So i cased and it seemed to take a while to show through the casing. But when it did i patched then put into fruit. I always seem to get a lot better pin set if i dont wait for it to show through more then that. But its been in fruiting conditions for about 3 weeks now and nothing. I have a b+ tub going and it went into fruit a week after this one and looks like a mini forrest. Any ideas would really help.

Oh and if this helps. It smells like an older casing if you know what I mean. Not bad in anyway but it just smells like they do after a few flushes. But yet there's still healthy myc coming up through the casing layer. Im lost.

I just read a post from RR where he talked about how he's always recommended people who where having stubborn tubs (no pins) should always set the tub in direct sunlight for a few minutes a day. I imagine you can find the specifics of what he recommended if you search a little. As a matter of fact I have a link to all his notes http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/8468463#8468463 just hit control+f and you can search the whole page for key words, or use the shrommery.org search features. I wish i could remember where i saw this because i think i saw it today. O well i hope this helps, do report back and let us know if that helps.

Ive thought of that. But how can i cold shock something that size? Short of taking everything out of my fridge lol Ive read that they are a really good strain thats why i wanted to try them. Just really hoping for good results. I still have about 6 ccs in the syringe so if this one fails ill try again.

Haha yeah the size sucks. You could stick it in your garage or make some ice packs.

Just cold shocked. Dont really have a place for it to get the direct sun light. The ones coming up are looking kinda thin but ill wait it out and see what they do.
