Effect of Prolonged Darkness
    #15670963 - 01/15/12 08:01 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Just recently introduced light to my bags (fully colonized) they had about 3 days of a 12/12 on off schedule. Then on day four, i was out of town so left them in the darkness for nearly 3 days. I came back to the beginnings of pins.

What is the effect of leaving pins prolonged in darkness, can it cause them to die?

No, just not to perform as well as they would have with a regular light schedule.

No. It might just  cause your bags to not produce pins. If theyre already producing pins, youre fine. The light only gives the fruits a direction to grow towards, it's called phototropism.
