GC spent after one use?

So I have had several culture projects running..along with experimenting with lids and different I have predominately done - 4% Karo, 5% Honey, and my GC (small amt Rye in 1\4 pint w\ SIP and SFD). Not doing so great with honey, and Karo is doing well, BUT my rye is going the quickest and looks like it will be ready to go in the shortest time. I may be sticking with that going forward assuming all goes well. So my two questions?
1) Is the GC spent after one use or can it be reused again? I assume the water content would be off and it would go to spoils 2) I was going to use a 60ml syringe and put this in the fridge..sounds like it will be good awhile ie 6 months or should I plan on immediate use? And any practical purpose to doing 6x10ml vs 1x60ml

1) Once you have stripped the rye of mycelium by adding water and shaking it can go either way. Sometimes the rye will recover and recolonize, at which time I would be more likely to spawn it to a bulk substrate instead of trying to create more GLC. The entire process opens up a vector for contamination and after the first run in my eyes it is to big of a risk to try a second time.
2) GLC tends to last up to 6 months under refrigeration just fine. As for the 6X10ml VS 1X60ml using 1 syringe will always offer a smaller vector of contamination as opposed to harvesting the mycelium 6 separate times using 6 smaller syringes.
As for stretching your GLC, one idea is to take some sterile pressure cooked water in a container with an injection port, say 120-160ML and then inject your 60ml of concentrated GLC into that container. This does open up more vectors for contamination as you will now have to suck the solution into 3-4 60ML syringes, but if you are mindful of aseptic technique you should be fine.

Glad I could help brother.
One thing I forgot to mention is on the container of sterile water you will want an injection port as well as a whatman syringe filter. This will help equalize pressure inside the jar when you are injecting your 60ml syringe of GLC, and more importantly when you are sucking the solution back out into several syringes.

So after pondering this a bit more - i do have one more question before I proceed Im sure I read the answer before but quick search for GLC+SFD+WET = nada...so:
Im using a 1\2 pint and a small SFD disk rtv'd to top (using easy felt).. Seems like the filter will get wet when shaking. Is there an acceptable amount of liquid these can get on them, or do I just need to be super careful and keep it dry at all costs?
